The best time to start laser hair removal

Laser can be done at any time of year, as long as the area stays out of the sun and away from tanning during your course. That is the whole reason many people start in autumn or winter.

Why autumn and winter

Tanned skin and laser do not mix well, so the area should stay out of the sun and away from tanning beds and self-tan through your course. In Kamloops that is simplest from October to March, when legs, arms and the bikini area are covered anyway.

Laser works on hair in its growth phase, which is why every area is sold in packages of 3 or 6. A course takes a few months, so starting in autumn or winter means being further along by summer.

Can you do laser in summer?

Yes, with care: keep the area out of the sun and away from tanning, and say so if it has any colour. Areas that stay covered are easiest.
