Before your appointment
- Let the hair grow: about two to three weeks after shaving, roughly the length of a grain of rice.
- Exfoliate gently a day or two before, not on the day.
- Keep the area out of the sun and away from tanning before, and say if you use retinoid creams or acne medication, or have had a peel on the area.
- Come with clean, dry skin: no lotion or oil on the area.
General guidance. At your appointment you are told what applies to you.
After
After your appointment
- For a day, skip hot baths, saunas, hard workouts, pools and the sun on the area.
- Wear loose, clean clothing over the area.
- From a couple of days after, exfoliate gently to keep the regrowth smooth.
- Book your next visit for when the hair has grown back; many people come every 3 to 6 weeks.
