Which one is which
Bikini line removes the hair outside the front bikini triangle: just outside the V-line, one to two fingers wide. It is a 35-minute appointment.
Extended bikini goes further: the hair outside the bikini line within the inner thighs, and a few centimetres further into the pubic area. Allow 40 minutes.
Full Brazilian is the whole area, booked as 45 minutes. A package of six works out to $163 a session.

What happens at a Brazilian laser session
Check in
Come up to the third floor at 301-141 Victoria Street. A Brazilian session is booked as 45 minutes.
Prepare
The area is cleaned, and you and your technician wear protective glasses.
Treat
The Candela handpiece is passed over the area, a small section at a time, with the wavelength and settings chosen for your skin and hair.
Plan
Your next session is booked with you. Packages of 3 or 6 lower the price of each.
Before
Before your Brazilian laser session
- Shave the area the day before your session. Between sessions, do not wax, sugar, pluck or use hair-removal cream on it: laser needs the hair in the follicle.
- Keep the area out of the sun, tanning beds and self-tan before your sessions, and say so if it has a tan.
- Come with clean skin on the area: no lotion, oil or perfume there.
- Tell your technician about any medication, skin condition or recent treatment on the area, and if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Wear comfortable underwear, and ask when you book how much to shave.
General guidance. At your appointment you are told what applies to you.
After
After your Brazilian laser session
- Some redness or warmth on the area is common afterwards and usually settles within a few hours.
- For a day or two, skip hot baths, saunas, hot yoga and hard workouts, and do not scrub the area.
- Protect the area from the sun between sessions.
- Shaving between sessions is fine. Treated hair can seem to keep growing for a week or two and then shed.
