Small areas, short visits

Upper lip, chin and temples are each booked as 20 minutes. Cheekbones and the upper lip and chin together take 25 minutes.

Full face covers the upper lip, chin and cheekbones in one 30-minute appointment for $150. Booked one by one, those three areas add up to $184.

What happens at a face laser session

  1. Check in

    Come up to the third floor at 301-141 Victoria Street. A face session is booked as 30 minutes.

  2. Prepare

    The area is cleaned, and you and your technician wear protective glasses.

  3. Treat

    The Candela handpiece is passed over the area, a small section at a time, with the wavelength and settings chosen for your skin and hair.

  4. Plan

    Your next session is booked with you. Packages of 3 or 6 lower the price of each.

Before

Before your face laser session

  • Shave the area the day before your session. Between sessions, do not wax, sugar, pluck or use hair-removal cream on it: laser needs the hair in the follicle.
  • Keep the area out of the sun, tanning beds and self-tan before your sessions, and say so if it has a tan.
  • Come with clean skin on the area: no lotion, oil or perfume there.
  • Tell your technician about any medication, skin condition or recent treatment on the area, and if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • On the day, come without makeup on the area.

General guidance. At your appointment you are told what applies to you.

After

After your face laser session

  • Some redness or warmth on the area is common afterwards and usually settles within a few hours.
  • For a day or two, skip hot baths, saunas, hot yoga and hard workouts, and do not scrub the area.
  • Protect the area from the sun between sessions.
  • Shaving between sessions is fine. Treated hair can seem to keep growing for a week or two and then shed.

$65 for one session, $165 for three or $300 for six.
Can I do the upper lip and chin together?
Yes. Upper lip and chin together are $115 a session.
Do you thread, wax or sugar the face too?
Wax and sugar, yes: upper lip and chin is $15 waxed or $20 sugared, and a full face is $50. See waxing and sugaring.
Do men book facial laser?

How it feels varies from person to person and from area to area. Ask about it at the free consultation, where your settings are chosen.
Is face laser hair removal permanent?
Laser is cleared for permanent hair reduction: a lasting reduction in how much hair grows back after a course of sessions, not a promise that every hair is gone.
How many sessions will I need?
It varies with your hair, your skin and the area, so no honest number fits everyone; that is what the free consultation is for. Packages come in 3 or 6.
Are there side effects?
