Waxing uses a resin-based wax and sugaring a sugar-based paste. Both remove the hair from the root, and you choose which when you book.

Your appointment

What happens at your full face waxing appointment

  1. Check in

    Come up to the third floor at 301-141 Victoria Street. It is booked as 45 minutes.

  2. Prepare

    The area is cleaned and prepared.

  3. Wax or sugar

    Wax is applied and lifted away with the hair. Sugar paste is worked by hand and flicked off with the hair.

  4. Finish

    Any stray hairs are tidied, and you can book your next visit.

Before

Before your full face waxing

  • Let the hair grow: about two to three weeks after shaving, roughly the length of a grain of rice.
  • Exfoliate gently a day or two before, not on the day.
  • Keep the area out of the sun and away from tanning before, and say if you use retinoid creams or acne medication, or have had a peel on the area.
  • Come with clean, dry skin: no lotion or oil on the area.

General guidance. At your appointment you are told what applies to you.

After

After your full face waxing

  • For a day, skip hot baths, saunas, hard workouts, pools and the sun on the area.
  • Wear loose, clean clothing over the area.
  • From a couple of days after, exfoliate gently to keep the regrowth smooth.
  • Book your next visit for when the hair has grown back; many people come every 3 to 6 weeks.
